What is Motorcycles by Moonlight?

Motorcycles by Moonlight is the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum's one and only fundraiser. It takes place the Friday evening of our highly attended, Vintage Festival weekend. At this fundraising event, you can expect to partake in tastings from some of the south's finest whiskey and wines. There will also be live entertainment, a five course meal prepared by Bruno Hospitality, an exciting silent and live auction, an interview of our Vintage Fest Grand Marshal, Fujio Yoshimura, the opportunity to mingle among other guests, and exclusive access to the museum after-hours. Head over to the "Past Events" page to see the past Motorcycles by Moonlight events.

The proceeds earned from this memorable night are used to continue the museum's collection, restoration, and preservation of the world's history through motorsports.

About the Museum

The Museum was first thought of and executed by George Barber, along with the help of his team. What started as a fun collection in downtown Birmingham has turned into the world's largest collection of motorcycles. The museum is over 200,000 square feet and also home to the largest Lotus collection in the world. There are around 1,000 bikes on display and around 90 cars in the collection. This one of a kind museum sits on over 800 acres of beautifully maintained land and one of the world's most exquisite tracks. The track is 2.38 miles with 16 turns and 80 feet of elevation difference. Come to Motorcycles by Moonlight to get  exclusive access to the museum after its operation hours.

The museum staff is passionate about drawing people to Birmingham and has become the largest tourist attraction not only in Birmingham, but in the state!
